What We Do

Eden Air provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy services.

In hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the client breathes oxygen at a multiple of the normal atmospheric concentration, while in a chamber that provides higher than normal pressure. This results in tremendously increased oxygen level in the body during the session. Enhancing oxygen availability by dissolving more oxygen in solution in the blood plasma can aid healing and supports wellness.

The normal concentration of oxygen in the air we breathe is about 21%. During an oxygen therapy session at Eden Air, you will be breathing oxygen at a concentration of over 90%, which is more than four times the normal level.

About 78% of the air we breathe is made up of (inert) nitrogen, and about 21% is oxygen, which is essential for life. Argon, CO2 and traces of other gases make up the remainder, which is less than 1%. Our equipment strips most of the nitrogen from the air that passes through it. The resulting stream of concentrated oxygen is what we use for our oxygen therapy.

The pressure chambers at Eden Air operate in pressure ranges from 30% to 100% higher than normal atmospheric pressure (1.3 to 2.0 atmospheres).

Moderate but powerful forms of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, like that offered at Eden Air, are a very low risk, high yield way to improve wellness. In a variety of ways, this method of increasing oxygenation supports basic health. Some people have experienced an increase in energy and vitality, improved clarity of mind, improved sleep, lower susceptibility to sickness, and improved recovery from illness. Athletes are increasingly using this therapy to enhance endurance and performance, reduce fatigue and muscle soreness, and speed up recovery from strains and other injuries. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy supports perfusion of oxygen to areas of poor circulation, increasing oxygen supply and promoting the health of tissues that are otherwise not fully supplied. It helps with healing of wounds and burns, can help the body fight infection, and can be helpful to stroke victims. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can also activate stem cells.
